Lessons learned the hard way

Sometimes in life we just aren’t grasping the little reminders or subtle guidance we are always receiving either from ourselves, others, or even our environment.  Sometimes it takes a big fall to wake us up to what we need to do, to pay attention to, or be aware of.  

My sweet daughter learned just such a lesson – the hard way – when she broke her collar bone last weekend.  She’s a strong girl and on the mend, but I think her lesson can help us all to remember. 

Sometimes we just need to be more vigilant in what we are doing.  When we run around doing the same old thing, many times we forget to have an awareness about our actions.  We forget that our innocent little actions, great or small, can result in consequences that will be quite unpleasant if not very painful. 

We forget to hold tight to those things that matter, to those things that will support us and keep us safe.  We loose our grip on the foundation of who we are and what we need.  When we find ourselves going too fast toward something, perhaps even to a place we’ve been numerous times before, our momentum can topple us over if we get carried away. 

We may even deviate down a path that can only end in harm, leaving those around us unable to break our fall because sometimes we just have to fall – and fall hard – to understand the lesson that has been before us the whole time. 

The joy, however, can be found when we realize our mistake and allow ourselves to expand our awareness.  Everything we experience in life whether “good” or “bad” can teach us something about ourselves.  

Let yourself be open to learning the easy way so you won’t have to fall and break before you learn and grow.  If you need help, I’m here for you.

& Learn: Stop Smoking the Easy Way

In this introductory stop smoking program, you will learn to become more
aware of the way you think about yourself as well as how you feel about your
smoking habit.  By understanding the
mechanics of how to best facilitate change, you are actually able to make
permanent modifications to your smoking behavior. Participants are asked to
bring your lunch and eat as you learn. 

November 11 & 25 @ 9:30-11:00 am.  Integrative
Cancer Care
.  The integrative holistic support program, modeled after the first
hospital-based, medically approved for the hypnotic treatment of cancer.  By teaching patients how to use the power of
the mind to control discomfort, elevate mood and directly participate in the
healing process, this program improves the overall quality of a patient’s life,
and can promote positive improvement in a patient’s medical condition as well.  The program is based upon the work of Dr.
Bernie Seigel’s Exceptional Cancer Patients (ECaP) model of care.  Group also meets on Nov 13 & 27 @
7:00-9:00 pm.  $25  Ongoing group meets 2nd & 4th
Monday and Wednesday of each month.

November 13 @
5:30-6:30 pm.  Easy Gift Ideas using Essential
.  Get ready for the holidays by
creating your own bath salts, air and fabric fresheners, and roll on
Fragrances.  Participants will go home
with (3) samples and recipes for making their own gift ideas at home.  $15

November 14 @ 7:00-9:00 pm.  The
Power of Self-Love with Healer Markus Kasunich
.  There are many tools that one may use on
their spiritual path to deepen in your Divine nature, to develop a more
intimate experience of your Self, and to enhance your experience of the world
around you. One of the most important and misunderstood concepts is the
practice of Self-Love. What is it? How do we make this abstract concept a
reality in our lives? How does this affect our relationship with our Self and
each other?   $30

November 18 @ 7:00-8:30
pm.  Emerging
Self: Embracing New Beginnings & Transformation
.  Confidence is all about believing in
yourself, your value, and worth.  Learn
to challenge your old patterns, limiting thoughts and beliefs; discover how
easy it is to finally blast through your unconscious blocks using multiple
methods of self-exploration.  Claim your

embrace your confidence.  $125/4 wks  This workshop has been rescheduled from earlier in the month.

November 21 @ 7:00-9:00
pm.  Great American Smoke Out.  When will you

your subconscious mind, and finally be able to stop smoking.  Identify your triggers and conditioned

December 5 @ 7:00-8:30 pm.  Holiday de-Stress.  As the
holidays swirl around you, remember that your perception of the world around
you is what is important.  Decide on the
things that matter most to you, and allow the rest to roll off you.  Center yourself and make conscious decisions.  Take time to replenish and nourish yourself.  Always remember to breathe.  This busy time will pass and January will be
here before you know it.  Throughout the
bustle of the holidays live, laugh, and love with no restrictions.  Make a point to cherish each moment for what
it is, and create wonderful new memories.
