When grief feels too heavy…

There are moments when life feels like it fractures under our feet. Unexpected loss, collective grief, or sudden waves of sadness can leave us aching, disoriented, and unsure how to move forward. The heart feels too heavy, the world too loud, and nothing seems to make sense.

In these times, it’s tempting to hold everything inside, to soldier on, to believe that if we just stay busy enough the ache will fade. But the truth is that grief and heartache are sacred invitations. They call us into a deeper relationship with ourselves, asking us to feel, to listen, and to allow… and ultimately, to take new action.

One of the most powerful shifts in mindset during these seasons is to remember that pain does not diminish you. It expands you. When your heart is cracked open, it creates space for more compassion, more wisdom, more tenderness than you carried before. Instead of resisting the ache, we can ask, “What is this teaching me? How is my soul growing here?”

Spiritual practices can also help guide us through the weight of sorrow. Journaling allows unspoken feelings to find voice. Breathwork and meditation create small sanctuaries of stillness where the nervous system can soften. Community and connection help us to know we are not alone. Rituals like lighting a candle in remembrance or creating a small altar with symbols of healing remind us that our grief is seen and held by something greater.

And just as we lean on the strength and wisdom of nature, we can also lean on her gifts. The seasons are not rushed, nor should the season you find yourself in be. Trees stand bare in winter, with an appearance of stillness and loss, yet beneath the surface life is quietly preparing to bloom again. Herbs mirror this same wisdom. Hawthorn has long been cherished as an ally for the heart, offering gentle strength and protection in times of loss. Chamomile and skullcap soothe anxious edges, inviting the body to rest even when the spirit feels restless. Mint and lemon balm with two honey’s can help you to keep your voice and speak your truth. These small herbal rituals can be grounding companions when the world feels too much.

Healing heartache is not about fixing what is broken. It’s about tending to what is tender. It’s about choosing a mindset of compassion over self-criticism, and creating small spiritual practices that remind you of your resilience and connection.

It can then create a fire within you that moves you to new and deeper levels of alignment and connection with your truth. With divine truth.

Even the heaviest seasons eventually give way to new growth. What if this chapter of grief is not an ending, but a quiet invitation to come home to yourself in a deeper way?

If your heart is craving a sacred pause, a space to be seen and supported in your healing, I invite you to book a Soul Shift Call with me. Together, we’ll explore what your soul needs most right now, helping you return to the grounding truth that you are not alone in this.

No matter what heartache you’re carrying, remember this: you are stronger than you feel, softer than you realize, and endlessly worthy of love and compassion.

Now is the time to Root yourself in Nature, and Align with Soul.

Sending you so much love,
Krysti

P.S. Here’s an herbal tea recipe to support grief and a broken heart:

1/2 part oatstraw
Place ingredients in a French press, pour hot water over herbs, let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink tea as needed.
