Sometimes you have to shift your focus a little to see what’s right in front of you.
Since my daughter has been little, anytime she struggles to find something I’ve taught her to take a step back so she can get a new perspective. She knows that sometimes you have to look away from the thing you’ve been staring at for so long and allow the feelings of frustration and overwhelm to diminish so that you can begin again with a new energy and excitement and see what you couldn’t see before. I call it looking with “fresh eyes” so you can see those things that are clearly before you.
You may have noticed a slight shift in my business the last couple of months. I’ve allowed myself to take off the masks and show up for you with more authenticity and transparency. What I understand very clearly is that each of us is going through something in our lives. Our drama doesn’t always show up in the same form or to the same degree as someone else but we each feel the same things and wish for the fullest expression of ourselves that is possible. Our stories resonate on a deep level with each other, that’s why there is such power in sharing and storytelling.
I’ve sat with my truth for quite some time and have allowed myself to look with fresh eyes to discover how to be of best service in the world. Despite our best efforts, life isn’t always pretty.  Sometimes life gives you things you never thought you’d experience, and you lose or hide pieces of yourself during those extreme experiences. Like I did during my husband’s drug addiction.
I know what it feels like to want to protect and fix that other person while feeling the weight of carrying the whole family on your shoulders. It’s isolating. It can feel as if there is no support around you, and that you are in this alone, just trying to make it from one day to the next without you or the pieces of your life falling apart. Life gets smaller in a way, and a part of you shuts down so that you can just get through and do what you need to do. One foot in front of the other like a numb soldier doing the best you can do.
Yet with struggle you acquire depth. You discover your inner resilience and your deepest desires for something greater.
A recent Facebook post of mine gathered much attention and I realized how powerfully people connected with my own experience. It gave them permission to look inward and reflect on their own life situations. It gave them permission to determine how they are showing up in the world and if they like it or not. It gave the hope of knowing you can walk in shadows for so long and come out stronger, wiser, and braver than they thought they could.
I felt the chills of spirit acknowledge this is my path to be there for those amazing souls who have been through those extreme experiences with a partner or significant family member and are ready to reclaim their life.
It doesn’t matter if it’s addiction, narcissism, abuse. There is a huge disconnect from what you want and what you are living.
In the end, it’s really about the return to Self and the desires and joys of living. It’s about boundaries and lightness and peace. It’s about allowing yourself the opportunity of positivity, wholeness, and oneness. It’s an openness to the regeneration of yourself and the recognition and allowing of your desires to be felt. It can be safe to have dreams again and want more for yourself. Even if things with your family situation crash down again, you don’t need to numb yourself anymore. You can choose self-love and self-care and make your choices from that point of power and truth.
My work is with amazing souls who are have been through the worst of it and are now ready to honor the voice inside that is pulling you to live a life of meaning and value.  You’ve done everything you thought you were supposed to, and although you are grateful for the blessings in your life, you are longing for something more that will honor your authentic self. You’re ready to get out of your own way and just need to learn how to deepen your spiritual connection and shift into a mindset that will leverage the law of the Universe and your subconscious mind.
If you are ready to reclaim your life after experiencing your own personal situation, schedule your complimentary Discovery Session and let’s talk about how I can help support you in your journey back to yourself.
