Today I want to share a I lesson I’ve been going through in my own life: making your dreams come true.
We can all relate to the feeling of wanting more for ourselves. The pull toward it and the resistance of it at the same time. It’s fascinating and empowering when you witness how you are showing up for yourself – and even getting in your own way.
When you lose faith there are steps you can take to get yourself back on track and in the flow again. As you lean into that trust and believe fully that your dreams will come true, you can step into action and back into faith and watch the miracles and magic take place before you.
Here’s what to do.
Get clear on what you want and why you want it. Sounds pretty straight forward, yet so many people forget to get specific on what their goals are. They say they want more abundance, more opportunities, or more happiness yet they don’t identify what they mean by those things – and it ends up staying in the realm of wishful thinking. Your mind and the universe require specifics to lock onto to bring forth into your experience.
Get into the belief and feeling of your desires actually coming true. How does it feel to have this belief? How does it change the way you are responding to situations? What does it feel like to have this desire come true? Get into it completely and allow yourself to fully experience those sensations. Think often on the successful realization of your outcome and know that it is on its way to you.
Hold the belief that it is yours. Remember, if you have the ability to dream a dream, you also have the ability to make that dream come true. Shift any uncertainty into an unwaivering faith.
Take action on those things that will move you forward toward your goals, and say YES to the aligned opportunities that come your way. Before you know it, your dreams will become your reality.
But what do you do when you lose faith?
Of course, everything doesn’t always go according to plan. Sometimes things happen that can get you off course and shake your certainty. Yet it’s so important to get yourself back on track as soon as possible.
Give yourself permission to feel the emotions, but don’t dwell in the feelings that don’t support your dreams. You want to move out of those feelings as quickly as possible and back into the positive expectation that your wishes will be fulfilled.
Get support. Sometimes you need to have someone give you a swift kick in the pants and tell you to shake it off and get back to work. Surround yourself with those people who hold the big version of you and your success. They can remind you to not give up, to keep striving, and keep trusting. They are invaluable to your success.
Remember that any setbacks are really a setup for your success. Your dreams are important and necessary. They are YOUR dreams for a reason. Allow yourself to trust your truth and desires more than you have and know that they will uplift the world in your own special way.
Go get ’em and don’t stop until they are yours.
P.S. Here’s my journey: My vision for myself this year is greater visibility and playing a bigger game in spiritual empowerment and development. I invested in a program to help me get clear on how to step more fully into this purpose. I learned to trust myself more completely. I felt the ownership of stepping onto a big stage with big name influencers and impacting those who heard my message and far beyond. I took action on the steps that would make that happen. Then someone else came along who challenged the outcome I wanted. I dug into my faith more deeply. Then I faltered, felt hopeless, and gave up. That’s when my coach gave me a firm talking to and told me to get back in the game. I got back up. An hour later an opportunity came to me that would get me leaps ahead of where I was. Then another shortly thereafter. I said yes to each opportunity that came. Along my journey, I was supported by most people along the way. Yet there were others that spewed their disapproval at me. I chose which to focus on and kept moving forward. In the end, I did the best I could and held tight to the belief that my desire was already mine. So when I learned that I would be speaking at the Shine Live event in Kelwona, Canada in October – alongside DANIELLE LAPORTE and other amazing speakers – I was thrilled. There was also a deeper part of me that whispered, “Well, of course. What else did you expect?” The answer was of course, “Nothing. This is exactly what I expected.” The peace and contentment that comes with a dream come true is simply beautiful. The same can be true for you.
I’d love for you to join me at the Shine Live event: http://shinelive.chantelleadams.com/
