Sometimes life is beautiful and full of bliss… sometimes it sucks big time.
That’s the thing about being alive and human: You’re fully aware of when it feels good and when it doesn’t.
It’s common to find yourself going through times of frustration and despair when it feels as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders and the proverbial black cloud never seems to go away.
But it’s also natural for the stars to align and life to feel easy and effortless.
There is a time and season when you will experience each of these in your life. If you believe as I do, then you will know that the universe is working with you, for you, and on your behalf.
You don’t need to pray for the obstacles or life lessons to stop coming.
Rather, look deep within for the strength and insight to keep growing, stretching, and discovering new parts of yourself that you didn’t know you had.
The seed in the ground does not judge itself when it encounters obstacles in its path, it simply grows around them and finds a new path.
When you look for the lessons in every mistake, mishap, and misfortune, it is then you will find the treasure in every hurdle, accomplishment, and encounter you experience.
Because mistakes happen.
Sometimes you’re the one messing up… maybe you made poor choices and are feeling the consequences of it. It happens to everyone.
Learn the lessons and move on. It’s all part of your learning so you can become the best version of yourself possible. Your learning curve won’t be the same as anyone else’s so stop beating yourself up or comparing yourself to everyone else. Assess your progress upon where you are now, how far you’ve come, and where you want to go. Then base your next step on your values and the wisdom you’ve just gained.
Sometimes you’re on the receiving end of misfortune or heartache… and it feels like you’ve been clobbered by something out of your control.
Don’t take it personally. Learn the lesson and reflect upon what you might have done differently. Then release ownership of everything else. Reframe the situation so it can become something more than disappointment and regrets.
In the end, it doesn’t matter matter if you fall down or get smacked down. What matters is how long you stay down and the story you tell yourself about it.
That’s why it’s so important to develop a strong resiliency so that no matter what you experience in life, either by your choices or due to another’s…
You become more confident in yourself and your ability to cope with the unexpected things in life. Your self-worth and personal conviction deepens the more you lean into the control you have over your beliefs and actions. You trust that everything is working out for your best and highest good and that it’s the next step in your evolution to the woman you are becoming.
So when it feels like the deck is stacked against you, ask yourself what lesson are you being guided to?
–> Do you need to create better boundaries so you’re surrounding yourself with people who are less prone to drama?
–> Do you need to let go of some old beliefs that are causing you to keep repeating old patterns?
–> Do you need to start thinking differently about how you can create new opportunities for yourself and your family?
These are some shifts you can make so your life becomes more pleasurable and peaceful.
