Crazy as it seems, we’re halfway through January already. If you’re like most people who set resolutions at the beginning of the new year, chances are that your will power is getting a bit shaky around now.
If you’ve started to falter a bit, chances are your self-esteem is taking a hit as well. That’s why I never set resolutions for myself. The majority of resolutions fail and you often end up feeling worse than you did before you started.
Instead, each year I set an idea for myself of what I want to experience, how I want to be, or what I want to feel.
You see, will power was never meant to help you make permanent and lasting changes. Deep changes come from understanding your big WHY… why you want to do something or experience something different.
Then when you understand your underlying motivation, you are able to tap into that feeling and desire during those moments when the old patterns want to surface again. Understanding your compelling motivation to reach your goal will help you stay firmly committed to your success, especially when you start to move outside of your comfort zone. One small change can have a huge impact in your life, so allow yourself the opportunities to succeed through small and large changes. You never know where it may lead you.
Set your intention on your over-arching desire and allow the ever-present spiritual guidance to play a part in bringing it to you. You still need to take action and say YES to yourself and the future you are creating, but give yourself permission to surrender your ideas, dreams, fears, and doubts to a consciousness greater than yours to bring forth something grander than you could imagine.
You are here in this space and time to accomplish greatness. You are here in this moment to spread your love and light for the best and highest good of all. It is up to you to choose to step into your best self and shine your light brightly.
Much love,
Krysti
